Athletic Training = Workout + Recovery
Posted on 5/23/2009 8:43:52 AM |
On Monday we discussed our involvement at the Encinitas Sports and Fitness Festival this past weekend. We featured some nutritional supplements that all athletes can benefit from when they are in training. When the body is being pushed to its limits the requirements of the body changes. There is a greater need for antioxidant support and detoxification because some of the byproducts of exercise can build up and create unwanted symptoms. |

One of the best ways to get a broad-spectrum of antioxidants is in a superfood blend like New Greens and Berry Fusion. Berry fusion is works well as a pre-training or pre-racing supplement because not only is it high in antioxidants but it contains energizing herbs that have been shown to increase your mental and physical stamina.
Each scoop of Berry Fusion contains the following:
Divine Berry Fusion™ Free radical damage is believed to play a causal role in more than 60 diverse health issues. Consuming a wide variety of antioxidants from superfoods, fruits, and berries may be the best way to provide the body with the most complete protection against free radical damage.
Power Veggie Fusion™ The vegetable ingredients in this blend provide a rich source of carotenoids, vitamin C and folate. These vegetables contain lycopenes, sulforaphane, isothiocyantes and indole-3-carbinol which are known to strongly stimulate the body's natural detoxifying enzymes.
Energizing Herbal Fusion™ Borrowing from long traditional uses and strong clinical science, these herbal adaptogens and other traditional herbs are known to decrease symptoms of fatigue, stress, anxiety and sore muscles. Berry Fusion also contains ingredients known to increase stamina and enhance physical performance.*
Healing Enzyme Fusion™ Every healing process depends on enzymes. Health of the body is completely dependent upon the quantity and activity of these often overlooked nutrients. Addressing inflammation and proper food assimilation, this healthy enzyme fusion contains the best proteolytic and digestive enzymes that nature has to provide.
Gentle Fiber Fusion™ Our unique blend promotes the effective elimination of toxins, thereby accelerating the body's healing processes. In addition to benefiting the gastrointestinal system, fiber is also helpful in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
New Greens is excellent as a post-workout recovery supplement because it contains nutrients that help mobilize toxic compounds from the body and replenish the system with beneficial nutrients that may be lost during training.
Every scoop of New Greens contains the following:

Injuries are sometimes an unavoidable consequence of athletic training. When the joints, muscles, and tendons are being pushed they can get irritated, swollen, and painful. If this happens we recommend the following two products in combination:
What is Inflacain®? Inflacain® features the most comprehensive and effective blend of natural COX-2 inhibitors available. Modern research implicates COX-2 and other enzymes to be a causative factor for excessive inflammation and many degenerative health challenges.* Specifically formulated to provide relief from body and joint discomfort and minor pain associated with pro-inflammatory enzymes, this botanical blend provides natural, fast-acting and long-lasting relief.
What is Joint Elements™? Joint Elements™ is a very unique all-natural formula designed to provide joint relief and support healthy joint function by supplying highly absorbable Glucosamine HCL, Turmeric, Boswellia serrata extract, and other important nutrients to the body.
